Travieso Dog Sanctuary began six years ago when Tamara’s neighbors brought a few dogs behind her gate while she was away on a gardening work trip in the San Francisco Bay. She later found an abandoned puppy on a highway and started sharing images of lost dogs with friends to help find homes, lovingly calling it “The Hotel” where every dog received beds, treats, and concierge-style care. Over time, not all dogs could be adopted, and the Hotel became a Sanctuary.
